The delegation of Uzbekistan won the first medal of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games

As part of the first day of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, our para-swimmer Islam Aslanov won a bronze medal.

Two representatives of Uzbekistan took part in the men's 100-meter butterfly swim (category S13). Islam Aslanov was awarded bronze with a result of 57.12 seconds. Another of our para-swimmers Muzaffar Tursunkhuzhayev took the fifth place with an indicator of 57.44 seconds. Also, in the women's final of the same direction, the representative of the national team of Uzbekistan Shokhsanam Toshpulatova won the fourth position.

The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan congratulates Islam Aslanov, his family and friends, as well as the National Paralympic Committee on winning the first medal at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics.
