Our SAMBO athletes have successfully completed the FIAS President's Cup
As we reported earlier, the competitions of the FIAS (International Sambo Federation) President's Cup in SAMBO were held in St. Petersburg. About 80 athletes from 21 countries competed for the prizes. Uzbek sambo wrestlers also took part in the competitions with a prize fund of 189 thousand US dollars. It is noteworthy that they managed to win four silver medals.
Khomidjon Muminov (-64 kg), Sarbon Ernazarov (-71 kg), Ulugbek Rakhmonov (-79 kg) and Ihtiyor Eshmurodov (-88 kg) reached the final and eventually became silver medalists.
According to the rules of the competition, our athletes were awarded silver medals and received cash prizes in the amount of $ 7000 each.
