Our weightlifter competed in the weight category -109 kg and beat his main competitor Simon Martirosyan from Armenia, as another of our weightlifters Ruslan Nurudinov managed 5 years ago. It is noteworthy that in the push exercise, Juraev lifted 237 kg, like Nurudinov, and set an Olympic record.
Another important thing is that if Juraev had participated in the weight category +109 kg and repeated the same result, he would have been able to win a bronze medal.
