The leadership of the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Uzbekistan visited the city of Hidaka as part of the exchange program

Representatives of the Federation of modern Pentathlon, headed by Chairman Bahromjon Gaziev, visited the Japanese city of Hidaka, located on the island of Hokkaido.

Hidaka as the host city of the Tokyo 2020 modern pentathlon exchange program was not chosen by chance, because it is one of the main cities in Japan, where horse breeding is successfully developing, equipped with high-class breeding horses. The delegation was met by the mayor of Hidaka, Chiaki Otaka. The schedule of the exchange program included visits to the main stables of Hidaka, where breeding horses are produced, a regional racetrack, a history museum, a public library and a secondary school.

Racehorse trials are very popular in Japan and are conducted in accordance with strictly developed rules that meet international standards. At the Hidaka racetrack there is an almost flat, without large ascents and descents, a dirt track with a length of 1600 m. A horse race called "Uzbekistan — Japan: interaction and cooperation"was organized especially for the meeting of the Uzbek delegation. As guests of honor, Bahromjon Gaziev, Ksenia Gulyamova, Alexander Savkin and Alise Fakhrutdinova took part in the award ceremony.

On the last day of the program, Olympians Alexander Savkin and Alise Fakhrutdinova held a master class in modern pentathlon for children of a secondary school. Together with Chairman Bahromjon Gaziev and General Secretary Ksenia Gulyamova, they took part in relay races with school students.

The Tokyo 2020 exchange program introduced the residents of the city of Hidaka to modern pentathlon and Uzbek culture, and also allowed representatives of the Uzbek delegation to enjoy Japanese hospitality.
