The President of the Asian Paralympic Committee arrived in Tashkent
Last night, a delegation headed by the President of the Asian Paralympic Committee, Majid Rashid, arrived in Tashkent. Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Avaz Karimov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan Oybek Kasymov, Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjayev and media representatives met the guest of honor at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport.
Majid Rashid shared his impressions upon arrival:
"This is not the first time I have visited Uzbekistan. In 2013, I visited your country. I regularly receive information from the news about the large-scale reforms and changes that have been taking place in your country recently. Thanks to the attention paid to the Paralympic movement by the state, para-athletes of Uzbekistan achieve high results from year to year. I hope that your Paralympians will successfully perform at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo."
According to the program, today, in the first half of the day, the delegation headed by Majid Rashid will take part in a mass sports event that will be held in the Central Park of Tashkent. In the afternoon, the guest of honor will meet with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov and Chairman of the NOC Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov.
