The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan sincerely congratulates the representatives of the Paralympic movement
On May 18 of this year, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On additional measures for the development of the Paralympic movement". This Resolution is of great importance in raising and developing Paralympic sports in our country to a new level. The adoption of the Resolution is very important, since the state pays special attention to all segments of the population, especially people with disabilities, and creates all conditions for them, taking into account their interest in sports.
At the XV Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 2016, our delegation won 8 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze medals. This, in turn, has further increased the interest of people with disabilities in sports in our country.
We believe that with the adoption of the Resolution, the number of people engaged in Paralympic sports in our country will increase and the geography of this direction will expand, which will help to strengthen the health of the population.
