The meeting of sports federations and associations dedicated to the Tokyo 2020 report and the upcoming challenging competitions will continue. Reports on a number of sports were also heard today.
In particular, the meeting with the Football Association of Uzbekistan was in the spotlight. It was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the NOC, First Vice-President of the FAU Ravshan Irmatov, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports Avaz Karimov, Secretary General of the Committee Oibek Kasimov, Deputy Chairmen of the NOC Saken Polatov and Sherzod Tashmatov, coaching staff headed by the future head coach of OTJ Temur Kapadze.
To begin with, we analyzed the activities of our team preparing for the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020. The work done by the team during the period from the first training camp to participation in the licensed tournament in Thailand in 2020, coaching activities, mistakes and omissions were noted. After that, Timur Kapazde focused on the activities of the Olympic club and the youth team created to prepare for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
"Next year we are waiting for 2 main competitions. This is the Asian Championship, which will be held here, and the Asian Games in Hangzhou-2022. It is through these tournaments that you can judge the potential of the team. Obviously, we play them for maximum results. Most of the guys who are now in our team have not played in the main squad in their clubs before. "Olympic", created with the support of our state, has become an opportunity for young guys to prove themselves. Now they are receiving offers from Super League teams," the coach said.
During the conversation, comprehensive opinions were expressed on such issues as further improvement of the material and technical base of the team, the use of modern technologies to control the physical condition of players in the game.
Also during the day, reports were heard and plans for triathlon, shooting, tennis and volleyball were discussed with the participation of the leadership of the NOC headed by Rustam Shoabdurakhmonov, representatives of UzGUFKS, schools of higher sports skills of the Republic.
