History of the day: Ruslan Nurudinov's Olympic record turned 5 years old

Exactly 5 years ago, our weightlifter Ruslan Nurudinov won a historic result for Uzbek sports at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Nurudinov competed in the weight category -105 kg. In the snatch exercise, he managed to lift 194 kg, and in the clean and jerk 237 kg and according to the results of the two-man event-431 kg. Thanks to this result, the weightlifter won the gold medal at Rio 2016. Also, Nurudinov's indicator in the push exercise was marked as an Olympic record. Then the representative of Armenia Simon Martirosyan became the silver medalist, as well as in Tokyo-2020.
