Before the last start, Voronina improved her position
Six programs were completed in the heptathlon competition among women. Our representative Ekaterina Voronina is taking part in this direction.
This morning, in the long jump, Voronina set a result of 6.11 m and recorded 883 points on her account. A few minutes ago, the performances in the javelin throwing sector ended. In this direction, Voronina was awarded 858 points with an indicator of 49.88 m. After this program, the number of points of our athlete became 5329 and she rose to the 12th place (previously she took the 19th place).
It should be noted that during the competition, the favorites Nadine Brorsen (Netherlands), Katherine Johnson-Thompson (Great Britain), Marta Koala (Burkina Faso) left the competition without completing their participation.
Now, in the evening program, athletes will compete in the last discipline — running for 800 meters.
