Sports medicine

It is no exaggeration to say that the entire world sport is currently fighting doping. In turn, the prevention of the use of prohibited drugs by our athletes, control over the content of their menu-the main task facing our doctors. In this regard, the national anti-doping agency regularly monitors the tests of our athletes for the use of prohibited drugs. A working group was established on this issue, which included representatives of the NOC, the company "Dori-Darmon", the Tashkent Pharmaceutical Institute and experienced industry specialists, headed by Nadir Tursunov.

It was also noted that the representatives of this working group will monitor the implementation of the following tasks:

Formation of an updated list of medicines most frequently used in the world practice of providing athletes with pharmacological agents;
Maintaining a list of doping drugs in the WADA database under constant control;
Systematic replenishment and updating of the list of pharmacological drugs used for the physical recovery of athletes;
Ensuring a constant exchange of views with sports doctors working in federations to restore and strengthen the health of athletes, and the formation of a database on this issue;
To study the possibilities and improve the mechanism for purchasing the main drugs needed by athletes abroad.
Another important aspect is that 6 professors-pharmacologists of higher educational institutions and 18 sports federations were involved in monitoring the above-mentioned activities and providing appropriate advice. They are instructed to develop an action plan based on the activities of each of the federations. Agree, in one aspect, the number of pharmacologists may be small. But these opportunity-based processes are bearing fruit. In particular, over the past 1-2 months, the problems associated with the physical condition and recovery of our athletes at international competitions have significantly decreased. The main essence of the planned program, drawn up before the Olympic Games in Tokyo, is also aimed at preventing such situations.

As part of the preparation of our athletes for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo (Japan), we are also working together with various organizations in the field of medicine. In particular, joint meetings were held with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports Tibet, the Tashkent Medical Academy, the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sports, enterprises specializing in pharmacology, the department for coordinating the activities of the NOC in Olympic sports, doctors and other medical organizations attached to the federations, in order to provide our athletes with the necessary sports medicines and vitamins., a working group was also formed to improve the standards of medical examination of athletes and the provision of drugs, which is assigned the following main tasks: :

Medical examination of athletes of the national team using the latest achievements of sports medicine;
New standards developed for national teams, control over the conduct of medical examinations, taking into account the characteristics of their physical capabilities;
Organization of seminars with strong foreign specialists for sports doctors, nutritionists, psychologists, pharmacologists working in national teams.
Tracking the health of our athletes is also one of the main tasks in the spotlight. In the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Sports Medicine, which operates under the IOC, our athletes undergo an in-depth medical examination at least once every 2 years. There are also functional tests for our athletes and studies conducted in mobile laboratories.

On the basis of a special "road map", a working group on the control of food consumed by athletes was created. The daily nutrition menu of athletes is based on their orientation, the main factors before and after training and competitions. The National Olympic Committee, together with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine, the Ministry of Health, the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan and the International Center of Uzbek Culinary Art, developed the necessary regulatory documents. According to it, the existing sports in our country are divided into:

Martial Arts sports;
Game sports;
Sports where coordination of movements is difficult;
Sports focused on high speed and strength;
Periodic sports.
For example, there will be a big difference in the nutrition of football players and judoists, in the menu of dishes that are served for them. In this regard, taking into account the orientation of the representatives of each of our national teams, the hikes were divided into these types. This division of sports is based on world experience, when the menu of athletes in each direction is compiled by experienced nutritionists.

The necessary tasks were also assigned to the sports psychologists attached to the federations and the working group coordinating their activities. In particular, the development of scientific and methodological programs for them, the preparation of training programs in this area, the exchange of experience with Russian specialists on the concluded memoranda. Below you can find information about the pharmacological agents developed and not prohibited for each sport, their composition according to the list approved at the meeting of the representatives of this working group:

Each athlete undergoes an in-depth medical examination, and the pharmacological funds allocated for him are paid for by the following applications:

Training courses for sports psychologists in federations have been created

The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan also organizes seminars with the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine to improve the skills of sports psychologists, exchange views on innovations and knowledge in this field. Within the framework of this program, short-term intensive training courses on "sports psychology"are organized at the center for scientific and methodological support, retraining and advanced training of specialists in physical culture and sports for sports psychologists working in Olympic sports federations(associations).

Our psychologists have enriched their knowledge and skills thanks to the experienced professors in these courses. We can say that such courses are just the beginning, and in the future it is planned to organize master classes, scientific seminars with foreign sports psychologists.
